The Kaia DLT Foundation marked a milestone in the blockchain industry with the launch of its mainnet on August 29.

This new blockchain, based on the Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM), is the result of the merger between Klaytn and Finschia, and is distinguished by its processing speeds of approximately one second and its low gas fees.

With the support of major Web3 partners such as Kakao and LINE NEXT, Kaia is positioned as the world’s fastest and most efficient blockchain EVM, promising to revolutionize the way decentralized technologies are adopted in Asia.

To further drive Web3 adoption, the foundation launched Kaia Wave, a strategic initiative in collaboration with LINE NEXT.

This program is designed to support developers in creating Mini DApps that will be directly integrated into the LINE messaging app, leveraging its vast user base in Asia, which includes countries such as Japan, Taiwan, Thailand, and Indonesia.

Kaia Wave not only seeks to facilitate the creation of decentralized applications, but also to connect Web3 partners in Asia and globally, making these technologies more accessible and user-friendly.

The launch of the mainnet  is not only a technical breakthrough, but also a strategic move to expand the Web3 ecosystem in Asia.

Young-su Ko, CEO of LINE NEXT, underlined the importance of this launch, calling it a crucial step in expanding the Asian Web3 ecosystem and highlighting that Kaia Wave will focus on providing a more efficient Web3 platform for both developers and users.

For his part, Sangmin Seo, president of the Kaia DLT Foundation, said that the ecosystem will benefit from onboarding and marketing programs developed in collaboration with partners such as LINE NEXT.
