A piece of quite surprising news had reached us recently, as Cory Johnson, the Chief Marketing Strategist of Ripple Inc. has recently seen his role in the startup suppressed.
Cory Johnson was hired one year ago by the multi-billion dollar company to spread the word of the startup throughout the world, explaining how the company could enhance the financial system with his improvement.
The news was communicated by a Ripple’s spokesman, Tom Channick via Social Media, he spoke about Cory Johnson leaving the startup, here’s what he said :
“Cory’s last year at Ripple was a success in representing the company to investors, press and regulators. Cory helped Ripple with strategy internally and overall industry education. But due to changes in market conditions, we’ve chosen to eliminate the role of Chief Market Strategist.”
The former Chief Market Strategist of the Ripple Inc, Cory Johnson who is not a newbie in the financial system was the founder of Thestreet.com and was associated with the financial media company Bloomberg since March 2018 as an analyst.
Despite being the third largest cryptocurrency by market capitalization, Ripple has seen a loss of value of 96 percent from its peak back in 2017, but that does not affect the startup which continues to grow as it multiplies its association with banks and investors.
Cory Johnson was a key element in the startup since he was the one spreading the company words and was basically the face of the company, making many appearances on media and linking the startup to the world of finance, the question is why would the startup freed itself from its Chief Market Strategist, could it be a maneuver to move the company to new high, however, the company has been really active lately and is making great move on it side to maintain its position in the sector.
