Circle announced the deployment of its native stablecoins, USDC and EURC, along with its Cross-Chain Transfer Protocol (CCTP) and Bridge Kit tool, on the Layer 1 blockchain Plasma. This strategic integration aims to consolidate a regulated multi-currency infrastructure within a high-performance EVM environment specifically designed to optimize the volume of global payments and decentralized financial transactions.

The move holds significant relevance for the crypto ecosystem by providing native access to the leading US dollar- and euro-backed stablecoins compliant with the MiCA regulatory framework. Thanks to CCTP support, users and institutions will be able to move liquidity interoperably without relying on wrapped tokens, facilitating cross-border B2B settlements, treasury operations, and DeFi activities with direct 1:1 backing.

Through this integration, users will gain access to USDC via the Plasma One app and card, while developers obtain the APIs needed to integrate these tools into their dApps. Now, businesses and institutions can enable direct on- and off-ramps by connecting their operations to Circle Mint to manage liquidity on a global scale.
