Bitmine Keeps Buying as the company continues to strengthen one of the largest corporate Ethereum reserves in the market. After adding another 9,946 ETH over the past week, the firm’s treasury now holds 5,787,414 ETH worth roughly $11.3 billion at current market prices. The latest purchase extends a buying streak that has remained uninterrupted since the company introduced its Ethereum treasury strategy in late June 2025.

The accumulation reflects a growing trend among publicly traded companies that are expanding beyond Bitcoin and treating Ethereum as a strategic treasury asset. While Bitcoin remains the dominant reserve cryptocurrency for most corporations, Ethereum’s expanding role in decentralized finance, tokenization, and staking has attracted increasing institutional attention.

Bitmine Keeps Buying As Ethereum Position Grows

According to the company, the latest acquisition lifted its holdings to nearly 4.8% of Ethereum’s circulating supply. Such a position places Bitmine among the most influential corporate participants in the Ethereum ecosystem, highlighting the scale at which institutional investors are beginning to accumulate digital assets.

Chairman Tom Lee said Bitmine has purchased ETH every week since the treasury program began. The newest purchase also exceeded the previous week’s acquisition of 7,430 ETH, suggesting the company accelerated its pace despite ongoing market volatility.

Ethereum recently outperformed Bitcoin on a relative basis, with the ETH/BTC ratio showing renewed strength. Many market participants interpret that trend as a sign that institutional capital is becoming more comfortable allocating larger portions of crypto portfolios to Ethereum alongside Bitcoin.

Share Buybacks Reinforce Long-Term Strategy

Beyond expanding its crypto reserves, Bitmine continued returning capital to shareholders through an aggressive stock repurchase program. During the past week, the company bought back 6.1 million common shares, exceeding the 5.5 million shares repurchased during the previous period.

Management linked the larger buyback to improving crypto market conditions, noting that Ethereum’s relative strength remains encouraging even as uncertainty surrounds the potential passage of U.S. crypto legislation such as the Clarity Act. The company views these market signals as supportive of its long-term capital allocation strategy.
