TL;DR
- ETH Accumulation: Bitmine increased its weekly buying pace with a 32,447 ETH purchase worth $81 million, pushing its treasury to 5.85 million tokens and reinforcing its long-running accumulation strategy.
- Market Momentum: Bitmine’s holdings now equal 4.8% of Ethereum’s supply as ETH jumps about 30% in a week, with Tom Lee pointing to past rallies where similar gains preceded major multi-month appreciation.
- Staking Revenue: Bitmine has staked 5.07 million ETH, or roughly 87% of its treasury, projecting about $330 million in annualized revenue at current yields while advancing toward its 5% supply target.
Bitmine Immersion Technologies accelerated its Ether accumulation last week, adding 32,447 ETH to its growing crypto treasury after several weeks of slower activity. The purchase, valued at about $81 million at Monday’s ETH price of $2,500, pushed its holdings to 5,847,611 tokens and reinforced the company’s long-running strategy of weekly accumulation.
ETH Buying Pace Rebounds as Market Strengthens
The latest move comes as ETH climbs past $2,500, helping lift BMNR by 3.5% in pre‑market trading. The Tom Lee‑chaired company had eased its buying in recent months while approaching its goal of owning 5% of Ethereum’s supply. Despite the slowdown, Bitmine has continued purchasing ETH every week since launching its treasury strategy in June 2025.
Its current stash represents roughly 4.8% of Ethereum’s 120.7 million token supply. At that level, reaching the 5% target would require about 6.04 million ETH, leaving Bitmine around 187,000 tokens short. The renewed buying coincided with a sharp rebound in crypto markets, including a roughly 30% weekly gain in ETH.
Lee highlighted two past instances in which ETH rallied more than 30% in a week, noting that those moves preceded gains of 167% in July 2021 and 170% after the May 2025 surge. He cautioned that historical patterns do not guarantee similar outcomes but argued that easier financial conditions, Wall Street’s tokenization push and potential blockchain use by AI agents could support further appreciation.

Staking Revenue Strengthens Treasury Strategy
Bitmine has also deployed most of its holdings through staking. The company has staked 5.07 million ETH, or about 87% of its treasury, generating projected annualized revenue of roughly $330 million at current yields. Lee said he expects broader market trends to help Ether gain ground against Bitcoin, reinforcing the firm’s long‑term positioning.
The combination of rising prices, consistent accumulation and substantial staking revenue continues to shape Bitmine’s strategy as it edges closer to its supply‑share target.
