Bitcoin Cash and Uniswap posted double-digit gains on September 23 after CME Group revealed plans to launch futures tied to both assets on October 19, pending regulatory review. CoinMarketCap showed BCH up about 31% over 24 hours at $352, while UNI gained roughly 14% to trade near $10.12.

The proposed rollout would include standard and Micro contracts for both cryptocurrencies, expanding CME’s regulated crypto derivatives lineup. The sharp moves were accompanied by heavier trading, with BCH’s 24-hour volume rising above $1.8 billion and UNI’s reaching about $2.5 billion.

The futures are not yet live, and their planned October 19 debut remains subject to regulatory review. The next test is whether BCH and UNI can hold their post-announcement gains before trading begins, while the eventual futures launch would add regulated derivatives exposure for both assets without guaranteeing continued strength in their spot prices.
