The Aave community started a temperature check vote (Temp Check) to deploy Aave v4 on Tempo Mainnet, a new Layer 1 blockchain focused on corporate payments. This proposal seeks to gauge governance interest in integrating the DeFi lending protocol with a network backed by tech and fintech giants like Stripe, Paradigm, Shopify, and Deel, primarily oriented toward stablecoin use cases and embedded finance.
There's a new Temp Check to deploy Aave V4 on @tempo, a stablecoin-focused Layer 1 incubated by @stripe and @paradigm.
Tempo was built with input from fintechs, banks, and more, and V4 would bring DeFi’s leading onchain credit infrastructure to the businesses building there. pic.twitter.com/2YOYjEZtLb

Through this action, Aave will be able to directly connect its liquidity with traditional enterprises and explore exclusive Real-World Asset (RWA) markets. Furthermore, the partnership would drive the adoption of its native stablecoin GHO in B2B credit and generate new revenue streams for AAVE token holders, while the Tempo team will offer incentives on the pathUSD stablecoin equivalent to the SOFR rate during the first year.
If the Temp Check receives majority backing from the community, the next step will be the publication of a formal request for comments (ARFC) to define the technical parameters for risk, oracles, and the final deployment strategy.
