The Solana Foundation has bolstered its leadership team with two executives hailing from Polygon and Binance. The arrival of this new talent aims to drive institutional expansion and corporate payment settlement. Rachel Conlan, former Global Head of Marketing at Binance, joins as Chief Strategy Officer to lead institutional partnerships and entry into new markets. Meanwhile, Jamal Raees, who brings extensive experience from Polygon Labs, Bridge, and Wyre, now heads the division specialized in enterprise payment solutions.

The Solana Foundation specified that Conlan will focus her efforts on coordinating direct implementations with banking institutions and investment funds. Meanwhile, Raees will focus operations on firms seeking to process settlements over low-latency decentralized rails.

The foundation will direct its resources toward turning institutional interest into practical use cases and large-scale operational infrastructure. Following agreements with entities such as SBI Holdings and Google Cloud, the team’s next step will be expanding alliances with cross-border payment providers and solidifying on-chain liquidity for regulated capital markets.
