Anchorage Digital, the parent entity of the first federally chartered crypto bank in the United States, announced that LayerZero has been selected as its interoperability partner for stablecoin issuance. This partnership will endow assets issued under the Anchorage Digital Bank, N.A. platform with cross-chain capabilities, guaranteeing a unified and secure infrastructure for financial institutions on a global scale.

For the institutional market, this is a pivotal integration, as it addresses liquidity fragmentation by enabling digital assets to move frictionlessly across more than 170 blockchain networks. By adopting LayerZero’s Omnichain Fungible Token (OFT) standard, institutional stablecoins like Tether’s USAT—the first to implement it—will optimize cross-border payments, treasury management, and decentralized lending across leading ecosystems such as Ethereum, EVM-compatible networks, and Solana.

Moving forward, the platform will progressively extend this multichain compatibility to other assets backed by the institution, solidifying regulatory and operational bridges that allow global banks to transact assets with complete legal and technical certainty.
