TL;DR
- HYPE ETFs attracted $24.42 million in daily inflows, beating XRP products by roughly 32%.
- The gap comes despite XRP having a much larger market capitalization and stronger cumulative ETF demand.
- The latest flows suggest investors are increasingly willing to seek higher-beta crypto exposure as the broader digital-asset market rebounds.
HYPE ETF demand is showing a notable acceleration in the U.S., with Hyperliquid products attracting more capital than XRP funds during the latest trading session. The shift comes as crypto markets recover and investors show greater appetite for assets offering higher potential returns, even when they carry substantially more volatility.
HYPE ETF Demand Overtakes XRP
Data for August 27 shows that HYPE ETFs recorded $24.42 million in net inflows, compared with $18.47 million for XRP products. That gives HYPE an advantage of about 32% for the day.
The comparison is particularly relevant because XRP remains the much larger asset. XRP has a market capitalization of roughly $89 billion, while HYPE is valued near $18.5 billion. Yet three U.S. spot HYPE ETFs attracted more fresh capital during the session than XRP products.
The U.S. market currently offers three spot HYPE ETFs from 21Shares, Bitwise and Grayscale. The products give traditional brokerage investors direct exposure to Hyperliquid’s native token without requiring them to manage the asset themselves.
Hyperliquid has also established itself as one of the leading decentralized venues for perpetual futures trading, giving HYPE a direct connection to activity on its underlying protocol. That utility helps distinguish the token from purely speculative crypto assets.

Risk Appetite Favors Hyperliquid
The latest numbers do not mean HYPE has overtaken XRP in overall institutional demand. XRP ETFs have accumulated roughly $1.64 billion in net inflows, while HYPE products have attracted around $340 million.
Still, the daily reversal offers a useful signal about investor positioning. HYPE’s smaller market size means relatively modest capital inflows can have a larger effect on its price and liquidity than comparable flows into XRP.
HYPE has also benefited from strong price momentum. After climbing from around $57 earlier in August, the token moved toward the mid-$80 range, although its elevated RSI indicates that traders should expect larger price swings after the recent advance.
That volatility is part of the appeal for investors seeking higher-beta exposure. At the same time, JPMorgan previously warned that HYPE ETF inflows had cooled during July and early August as competition increased across crypto trading markets.
