The cryptocurrency exchange BitMart is evaluating partially resuming operations through a restructuring plan, reversing the definitive shutdown decision announced on July 26. The company confirmed hiring the law firm White & Case to structure a phased restart that will include the distribution of funds to creditors.

This unexpected turn comes amid growing user complaints over blocked withdrawals and leadership turmoil, following revelations that its former Global CEO, Nenter Chow, was dismissed shortly before the initial liquidation announcement. Unlike other platforms that proceed with an orderly market exit, the mention of creditors and insolvency proceedings increases uncertainty regarding the exchange’s financial health.

On its schedule, the company plans to present a definitive roadmap on September 9, where it is expected to detail its reserve balance and the repayment schedule. Traders and investors remain focused on this key date to determine whether the process will guarantee the full recovery of their balances.
