This aggressive strategy stems from the need to stabilize the platform’s legal stance before regulatory bodies such as the CFTC and the SEC in the United States, as well as overseeing regulations in Europe and Asia. The decision comes after multiple public controversies involving class-action lawsuits in New York and severe criticism over extreme content on its Pump.fun GO rewards market and live streams.
The company’s next step will be to evaluate candidates to lead its legal team. With a daily volume exceeding $300 million, Pump.fun seeks to mitigate its legal risks without slowing down its accelerated commercial growth.
