The real-world asset (RWA) platform, Securitize, projected a radical transformation of global finance after estimating a 100x growth in the RWA tokenization sector, backing a joint study by Ripple and Boston Consulting Group (BCG). According to this report, the total volume of digitized assets will reach $18.9 trillion by 2033, placing Ripple’s technological infrastructure at the epicenter of this massive expansion.
The impact of this growth consolidates the XRP Ledger (XRPL) network as one of the primary financial highways for institutional capital, already hosting 302 active RWA tokenization projects with a value of $3.69 billion. Through the deployment of its institutional stablecoin Ripple USD (RLUSD), which records a capitalization of $1.74 billion, the firm solves liquidity and instant settlement issues for the issuance of U.S. Treasury bonds and the fractional division of premium real estate in key regions such as Dubai.
For the traditional market (TradFi), what follows is the migration of multi-trillion-dollar flows toward these fast-settlement networks. The division of labor in the RWA sector becomes evident: while some issue the assets, Ripple provides the necessary infrastructure and liquidity to connect global banking with blockchain technology.
