Avian Labs, the developer of the Sling Money payments app, has received approval from the UK’s Financial Conduct Authority to operate as a cryptoasset service provider. The company announced the news on Thursday, expanding its regulatory footprint in Europe.

The approval allows the peer-to-peer payments app, which operates on the Solana blockchain using stablecoins like USDP and EURC, to move toward a public launch in the UK. The service, already licensed in the Netherlands and registered in the US, enables global transfers in seconds and instant local currency withdrawals in 80 countries.

For now, Sling Money is only available in the UK as a closed beta program. The key next step will be the transition from this beta to a full public launch for British users, marking its expansion in a key European market under a new regulatory framework.
