The Story Foundation, the nonprofit steward of the world’s IP blockchain, has appointed Andrea Muttoni as its new President. In this role, Andrea will lead the Foundation’s efforts to advance the Story protocol, drive adoption, and ensure its long-term sustainability as the standard for tokenized intellectual property.
Andrea brings over a decade of experience at the intersection of technology, product development, and developer ecosystems. A globally minded technologist, he has built and scaled products used by millions, from his years at Amazon working on Kindle and Alexa to leading developer relations at Dapper Labs for the Flow blockchain. At Story, Andrea played a pivotal role in shaping the protocol’s product strategy, marketing, and ecosystem growth—most recently, pioneering Agent TCP/IP, a transaction protocol for AI agents in Web3 that is rapidly gaining adoption.
“Andrea has an intimate understanding of Story’s technology and has been a major driver of adoption for both users and developers,” said Jason Zhao, co-founder of PIP Labs, the initial core contributor to Story. “His deep technical expertise, combined with his extensive experience in Web3 and decentralized technologies, makes him an ideal steward for the Foundation. He is well-positioned to represent the broader community and ecosystem while ensuring Story continues to grow as the leading infrastructure for tokenized IP.”
As President, Andrea will oversee the Foundation’s strategic initiatives, including decentralized governance, ecosystem funding, and partnerships that expand the use of tokenized IP. His mandate is to ensure that Story remains open, permissionless, and accessible to creators, developers, and businesses worldwide.
