Ripple Lab Inc., the San-Francisco based technology company is opening up a new branch in China, Shanghai. According to the Ripple hiring page, the company is clearly opening up the new shanghai branch. The firm is hiring a new Country Manger, a position that requires a ‘high level of autonomy, entrepreneurial energy and business savvy skills’.
The announcement on the company’s career page read that;
“Ripple is sharpening its focus on the dynamic payments landscape in China! We are looking for our first set of feet on the ground in Shanghai to launch and operationalize our brand new Shanghai office. While you won’t be charged with doing this on your own, this role requires an extremely high level of autonomy, entrepreneurial energy, and business savvy in order to smoothly bring a new international office online.’’
Ripple Targeting Worldwide Market
Currently, Ripple is working on its latest video, ‘The Ripple Drop Episode’ featured Jim Chauncey-Kelly who discussed on global Ripple hiring. According to Jim, the firm is heading with over 40 open roles worldwide. Jim specifically focuses on Integration Engineers to help Ripple customers towards onsite implementation of the firm’s products across the globe.
The Ripple platform currently exists in San Francisco, Sydney, Mumbai, New York City, London, Sao Paulo and Singapore and has over 200 customers worldwide. According to Ripple, the only way to transform global payments is with the right team, and thus, the firm is looking for teammates who will push it to work “smarter, harder, faster, and more creatively’’.
China is home to a number of large Fintech firms with payment apps like Tencent’s WeChat Pay and is also seen as one of the most important players in the cryptocurrency market despite the fact that the country’s crypto laws are quite strict.
