Ripple said August 3 that it made strategic investments in ZILO and Licuido, extending existing partnerships focused on regulated digital capital-markets infrastructure. ZILO supplies transfer-agency technology, while Licuido operates a tokenization solution and FCA-regulated trading platform, giving Ripple two complementary routes into fund issuance and collateral mobility on the XRP Ledger.
Ripple said its institutional infrastructure combines issuance, custody, collateral utility, multi-currency investment and atomic settlement, with RLUSD serving as the regulated cash leg for delivery-versus-payment transactions. ZILO supports digital record-keeping and tokenized share classes, while Licuido adds issuance, distribution and execution capabilities intended to make traditional assets usable as digital collateral.
The investments build on Ripple’s earlier work with Aviva Investors to bring traditional fund structures onchain. ZILO and Licuido are expected to help develop regulated issuance, distribution, custody and additional utility for those assets, but the announcement did not disclose investment amounts or deployment timelines. The next test is whether the expanded infrastructure converts tokenized funds into active lending, margin and settlement workflows.
