Financial technology company Tassat Group presented Project NENYA, an infrastructure designed to allow regional and midsize banks in the United States to participate in managing regulated stablecoin reserves. According to the company, this initiative aims to prevent major Wall Street firms from monopolizing a sector with market projections reaching $4 trillion by the end of the decade.

Project NENYA will operate as a real-time reserve optimization engine connecting stablecoin issuers with traditional financial institutions. Through this system, local banks will be able to provide liquidity backed by cash deposits and tokenized high-quality liquid assets (HQLA), mitigating deposit flight and diversifying counterparty risk away from mega-institutions.

Following the release of its whitepaper, Tassat plans to initiate pilot programs during the first half of this year to achieve the platform’s definitive launch in 2027. The proposal seeks to democratize access to the crypto ecosystem and formally integrate the traditional banking sector into the digital economy.
