Goldman Sachs announced Wednesday an agreement to acquire Neos Investments for up to $2.25 billion, bringing three Bitcoin and Ethereum income ETFs into its asset-management business, according to the company.

The deal would add Neos’ Bitcoin High Income ETF (BTCI), Boosted Bitcoin High Income ETF (XBCI), and Ethereum High Income ETF (NEHI). Rather than holding BTC or ETH directly, the funds use crypto-linked products and options strategies designed to generate monthly income. BTCI alone has surpassed $1 billion in net assets.

The transaction is expected to close in Q1 2027, subject to regulatory approval. Neos manages more than $30 billion across 19 options-based ETFs, while the acquisition expands Goldman’s presence in the rapidly growing active ETF market and gives institutional investors another route to crypto exposure through traditional financial products.
