Additionally, it will also bar the central bank from using any CBDC to implement monetary policy against\u00a0<\/span><a class=\"editor-rtfLink\" href=\"https:\/\/crypto-economy.com\/virtual-currencies\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">cryptocurrencies<\/span><\/a><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">While presenting the bill, Emmer blasted the Biden administration, noting, that the US government is willing to\u00a0<\/span><strong><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">compromise the American people\u2019s right to financial privacy<\/span><\/strong><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u00a0for a surveillance-style CBDC. Several lawmakers previously expressed strong dissatisfaction, highlighting the\u00a0<\/span><strong><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">potential risks and challenges associated with the introduction of CBDCs.\u00a0<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Earlier this year, United States Congressman Warren Davidson took a firm stance against CBDCs. He called not only for their complete ban but also for the criminalization of any effort to design, build, test, develop, or establish any sort of central bank to back digital currency.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">The claim that FedNow is not the first step toward a CBDC would be more easily digestible were we not aware of the Biden administration\u2019s steady barrage of hostile broadsides against cryptocurrencies.<\/p>\n<p>Between 2008-22, the Fed partnered with a handful of big banks to print $10\u2026<\/p>\n<p>&mdash; Robert F. In May, Rep. Alex Mooney of West Virginia introduced the <em>&#8220;Digital Dollar Pilot Prevention Act&#8221;<\/em>, which aims to prevent the Fed from launching a pilot program that would test the operability of a CBDC in the U.S. financial system.<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: left\"><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Ugly Side of Government-Backed Digital Tokens<\/span><\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Numerous other lawmakers including Sen. Ted Cruz, Sen. Mike Lee and Florida Gov.
