Cameroon\u2019s increasingly bold and determined separatists fighting for the independence of the state of Ambazonia<\/strong> are selling their own cryptocurrency, the AmbaCoin<\/a><\/strong>, with an aim to provide humanitarian relief to those affected by the conflict in the Anglophone regions. They hope to raise up to 250 million US dollars.<\/p>\n According to Frank Enoanyi Abange, the director of the AmbaCoin project, \u2018\u201cThe idea of AmbaCoin was to get away from the CFA \u2013 we don\u2019t see the CFA franc as a legitimate currency for Ambazonia.\u201d<\/i> Over 30,000 AmbaCoins have been issued since the year begun.<\/p>\n Ambazonia is a self-declared state that consists of the Anglophone portions of Cameroon.<\/p>\n AmbaCoin is not just a cryptocurrency but also a decentralized public blockchain for the people of Ambazonia. The coin is an ERC 20 token and was just recently launched by the Cameroon separatists.<\/p>\n ECR 20 is a protocol that explains some of the rules used for issuing tokens on the Ethereum network.
